Brendi's  Puppy
On 1-17-2006 Brendi started to have her puppies. When breeding any livestock there are risks seen or unseen that you cannot predict. Brendi started out with normal labor signs and then what happened was anything but a normal birth. Her first puppy was stuck in her birth canal and everything I tried did not help the situation for her. Brendi was getting weaker every contraction. She was rushed to the Emergency room  where a "C" section was performed to save her babies. Only one puppy survived the procedure and she was kept for two days at the intensive care unit. Here are some pictures of Brendi and her new puppy at Bolton Emergency Clinic. Her puppy weighed 3 1/2 ounces at birth. Brendi is doing well and her baby is growing perfectly. Her baby is now 4 ounces. She is one beautiful little puppy. Please scroll down the entire page
Brendi has a new home !
Brendi is AKC, 18 month's old, house broken, spayed, is sweet and gentle as can be. She has up to date shots. She will make an excellent companion. She will be ready for a new home March 11th. Today is March 11th and Brendi has been placed in a new home. The has been placed in the perfect environment ! Plenty of cats and dogs to play with. Most importantly she is with a new owner. A new Mother to her, an extraordinary woman we know will take care of her and love her as we do. Brendi's story now has the perfect ending. We will miss her and cried when she left. We will hope to hear from her new owner and see her again in the very near future.
Now For The Rest Of The Story
Brendi went through a very hard time after her "C" section and we feared that in her present condition her only puppy would not survive. So.... we called on BlueBelle and she was more than happy to help out and took on the puppy as one of her own. Now BlueBelle and Brendi share duties with the little brown and white spotted pup. She is gaining weight and growing. She is smaller than the other two by several weeks but is spunky as can be for a puppy not even 1 week old. Brendi is doing great. She is healing and is gentle as can be. We will not breed her again so she will not have to endure birth. When she has healed from the "C" section we will have her spayed and find a loving home for her.
